The Thing You Aren't Considering That Will Boost Your Vitality in Seconds (And It's Not a Supplement)

If you tend to think the worst and your mind is not giving you a vibe that helps you feel your best vitality, here is one of the remedies that has repeatedly worked for me.

I shifted out of feeling sorry for myself and into feeling uplifted and vibrant in minutes! My morning was not flowing easily.   I had woken up from a nightmare at 4:00 a.m. where something bad was about to happen.  It really shook me up, and I did not go back to sleep. (Shake-up #1)  Then several texts came in letting me know where I made some mistakes in hosting a class. (Shake-up #2 - before 6:30 a.m.).  After that, I double-booked myself - still before 6:30 a.m!  Ugggh!

My old self would have thought about all of this,  worried and fretted about it all day - and probably into the rest of the week.  However, my new self had answers for how I was going to have an amazing day, even though I had gotten a lot of feedback - from the dream, my leadership team, and clients.   It was a challenging start.

My old self would have judged me for making mistakes and criticized me for not being perfect. My new self said - make a choice.  It’s not even 7:00 - do your plan and go to the gym.

Without any more deliberation, I shook it all off - literally by shaking my body for a few minutes to some music.  Then I headed out to the gym.   To stop thinking about what had happened, I  put my attention in my body.  This is where you put your conscious awareness in some part of your body and hold your attention there.  For me, while I was walking, I felt my feet touch the ground.  I kept my mind on that until I got to the gym. Immediately, my mind settled down, and I felt like I got stronger

You can put your attention somewhere in your body so you can focus and get out of any thinking that drags you down.  What to do is to feel the center of your chest or your shoulder or your belly.

Pick somewhere where your brain or your mind can go easily. Then stay there and breathe. This practice brings you into the present moment.  You’ll need to breathe fully - even a bit more than you are used to, to start.

What you are doing is to train your mind to be more in your body and less in projecting things out that have not happened yet or that have already happened, and you can’t change it.  Worrying about it doesn’t solve anything.

It helps if you put your hands on the part of your body, like your belly or chest, and breathe under your hands.  Stay there for a while – it could be 30 seconds to a minute or longer.

I like to do the breathing after I shake out the thoughts or feelings that are snagging my attention into a not-so-good place.  This shaking and breathing gets you out of the upset and back on track to living your life fully!

I’m sharing 2 quotes from my mentor, Mariane Karou, that applied to my situation today!

“Love gives you the power to move through anger and sadness.” - Mariane Karou

Loving yourself enough to move your body and your mind helps you move through any situation.

“Move yourself away from judgment or criticism so you can feel who you are and find your own direction in your life.” - Mariane Karou

My mind wandered off of my direction of loving my life for a minute.  However, I was able to shift my mind and move with my feelings instead of staying stuck in them.  It is possible to let go of fear, blame, and judgement and live your life fully.

This is freedom, and it’s doable for you or anyone in your life!
